About

Lee Lorenzen is a researcher, entrepreneur, and CEO of Cluster Solutions, a company he founded in 1989 to develop and advance clustered water technology. Based in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, his work is rooted in decades of scientific exploration across biology, pharmacology, and applied research. Born and raised in Northern California as one of eight children, Lorenzen developed an early interest in science and the natural world. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and pursued graduate studies in biology at California State University, Fullerton, including advanced work under Hoang Van Duc, M.D. He is also affiliated with the Faculty Alumni Association at Chapman College. Lorenzen began his professional career as a Graduate Instructor in Biology at Chapman College in 1974, followed by a role as Research Associate at the University of California, Irvine’s Department of Pharmacology. He later spent over a decade in biomedical consulting, building expertise in research-driven problem solving. A pivotal moment in his life came through his marriage to Stephanie Smith in 1976. Her illness beginning in 1985 became a major motivating factor in his continued research into alternative scientific approaches, ultimately contributing to the development of clustered water technology. Over the course of his career, Lorenzen has been awarded multiple U.S. patents, including 5,711,950 and 6,033,678. His research has received recognition from the Microsoft Alumni Foundation in 2011 for contributions related to AIDS and diabetes research. Today, Lorenzen continues to lead Cluster Solutions, focusing on ongoing research, product development, and collaboration with scientific and medical professionals. His work emphasizes perseverance, continuous innovation, and improving quality of life through science-driven solutions.
